Candida albicans is the most common type of yeast that causes an infection called Candidiasis. There are hundreds of species of yeast, but the most common form is Candida Albicans. It causes infection of various parts of the body and lives on the gut, skin, mouth, vagina, and throat.

It normally resides there and does not cause any harm to the skin. But in case of excessive growth, it causes infection of various parts. Yeast infection is sometimes confused with bacterial vaginosis, but there is a clear difference between these two conditions.

Candida usually resides on the mucous lining of the vagina and mouth. In the mouth, it causes oral thrush, while in the vagina, the infection is known as a yeast infection. People with diabetes are also at greater risk of developing these yeast infections.

ACV (apple cider vinegar) is thought to be effective for candida. Researches are done in laboratories. The ACV is found effective for limiting the growth of candida in a petri dish. But these studies may show different results for humans. Because human is different from a petri dish, and it may also cause few side effects in them.

However, more research is required to confirm whether ACV is actually effective for candida or not.
